Pilgrimage Arranged for the Awardees of the “Christian Personalities, Virtues, and Holiness” Competition
The partnership between the Strășeni Deanery and the Strășeni Department of Education resulted in a new initiative on May 10. With the blessing of His Grace Bishop FILARET, and through the dedicated efforts of Protopresb. Ioan Goncear, head of the education department of the Strășeni Deanery, a pilgrimage was organized to the Saints Marta and Maria Monastery in the Căușeni district, followed by a visit to the house-museum of the priest-poet Alexei Mateevici in Căinari.

The beneficiaries of this project were 40 students and 10 teachers from 13 educational institutions in the district, all awardees of the competition “Christian Personalities, Virtues, and Holiness.”

Both students and teachers were deeply touched by the pilgrimage, as well as by the hospitality and love with which they were welcomed at this holy monastery. We extend our sincere thanks to Mother Evsevia, who guided us with great dedication and devotion. We hope that the small seeds of faith planted in the children’s hearts “will bear fruit in their own time.”
